Executive Coaching

"Each person holds so much power within themselves that needs to be let out. Sometimes they just need a little nudge, a little direction, a little support, a little coaching, and the greatest things can happen." – Pete Carroll

You may do a great job of hiring the right people for the right spots within your organization. However, your job isn’t finished once you place someone into a role. Supporting and reinforcing continuous personal and professional development is essential. While on-the-job learning and experience will contribute to a person’s development over time, a more individualized and tailored approach will be required to ensure each person reaches their full potential. This is why Executive Coaching needs to be integrated into any efforts to build bench strength within the organization.

We view the development of people as a process — not just an event. Therefore, there are a number of components which need to be integrated into a workable coaching process to ensure that it’s completely in sync with both professional growth and performance goals. Ultimately, the purpose of an Executive Coaching process such as this is to help an executive achieve better business results in the present and in the future.

To get the process started, it is important to size up the person through discussions with their boss and human resources. In addition, valuable data regarding a person’s capabilities are obtained through the use of assessments and/or 360° survey feedback. This information helps further enhance a person’s self- awareness regarding their strengths and opportunities for improvement. Results from these tools also serve to help the person more clearly understand the impact their abilities and personality characteristics have on how they are viewed by their superiors, peers, and direct reports.

Working off the data collected from the assessments and/or 360° survey feedback, we collaborate with the person and their boss to build developmental action plans which ensure they can overcome challenges and leverage off their strengths to succeed. Overall, the six- to twelve-month process provides individualized and targeted coaching to increase a person’s effectiveness and ensure they achieve their full potential.
