DiSC Assessment and Training

“If you talk to a man in language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.” – Nelson Mandela

Effective communication and collaboration contribute significantly to the overall performance and productivity of any person and/or team. Many individuals and teams fail to achieve their full potential due to deficits or limitations in these areas. Implementing DiSC assessments and training help optimize working relationships between team members while propelling the team’s overall productivity as it tackles challenges and strives to achieve its objectives.

The DiSC assessment is not a test – there are no right or wrong answers. It’s a personality assessment designed to help people better understand behavioral styles of themselves and others. The DiSC Model provides a common language that people can use to gain greater self-awareness and adapt their behaviors with others. The DiSC Model looks at the combination of preferences for being active vs. thoughtful, accepting vs. questioning in order to create four patterns of behavior or DiSC Styles: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Conscientiousness.

As part of any DiSC training session, participants complete a number of activities and discussions to clarify how interpersonal styles and behaviors impact the team’s overall functioning. At the end of the session, participants will have gained greater insight into the impact they have on team dynamics and how they can contribute more to the future success of the team’s functioning. In addition, participants acquire strategies and techniques for improving interactions with their teammates. DiSC training can also help reduce conflict and avoid misunderstanding between team members, as well as increase levels of engagement and morale within the group.
